I've always been interested in the stories we tell — and the stories we tell ourselves.

I'm a writer, storyteller and filmmaker creating across books, short films, humour and visual storytelling. Some of my stories are fictional. Some aren't. Some are designed simply to entertain. Others are intended to make you stop for a moment and ask a question you hadn't thought to ask.

Through Gavin Mills Studio, I'm bringing those worlds together — from novels and poetry to cinematic short films, visual experiments and characters that occasionally refuse to behave themselves.

I'm particularly interested in the space between imagination and reality, where a story can make us laugh, unsettle us, or perhaps reveal something about ourselves.The work ranges from fiction and poetry to The Gavin Mills Files, cinematic short films built around Questions Worth Asking, and entirely different creative universes such as Gemstones — because apparently one universe wasn't enough.

I don't have a single genre.

I have a curiosity.

Stories entertain. Ideas linger...

That's what I'm here to make.
